We have some exciting news to share: in September, Manchester will be hosting a big gathering of interpreters from all over Europe. It is the annual conference of EFSLI, which stands for the European Forum of Sign Language Interpreters.
The event, which is organised by EFSLI, will be taking place at the Marriott Victoria and Albert Hotel in Spinningfields. It starts on Thursday 1st and runs until Sunday 4th. There will be a full programme of presentations, workshops, panel discussions and networking events. The presentations and workshops enable interpreters to gather, learn, and share ideas and knowledge on a range of topics.
We are very proud of our in-house interpreter, Mark Hetherington, who has been selected to be on one of the discussion panels to share his expertise. Congratulations Mark!

We are also delighted that on Friday evening MDC will be welcoming the interpreters to Riley’s Bar for a buffet and social evening, following a walking tour of Manchester focusing on its culture.
Please note that all parts of the event, including the social evening at Riley’s Bar, are only open to people who hold EFSLI conference tickets.
