Free deaf-accessible skills training courses for work in the fitness industry

Are you D/deaf, deafened or hard of hearing? 

Are you interested in work in the fitness industry as a gym instructor, personal trainer or a filmmaker? 

Would you like to remove barriers so that all deaf people can access sports and leisure facilities?

We are sharing this amazing opportunity on behalf of Worldwide Deaf Gym who are based here in the North West. They have created an exciting new project, called FitcommUNITY. They have now received funding for it and are able to offer FREE places on the following courses:

Filmmaking course 

Saturday 28^th September 2024

10am–2pm

Oldham OL9 6QH

Gym Instructor 2 and Personal Trainer 3 Accredited Qualification courses

5 weekends (October 5/6^th, 12/13^th, 19/20^th, 26/27^th, and November 2^nd/3^rd 2024)

9am–3pm

Manchester Aquatics Centre M13 9SS

All courses are fully deaf-accessible and you will be mentored through the process. There is opportunity for paid work at the end of the learning journey.
