Get Moving! Get Ready! Get Ahead!

Our new project Get On! has got off to a great start. 18 young people have already registered and are now active in the Get Moving! phase of the project. The project includes motivational activities with things to do at home, mentoring, job and career guidance and practical workshops such as help with your CV and how to prepare for an interview. We have an exciting Get On! event planned at Manchester Deaf Centre early in June to welcome young people to the project and give them an opportunity to meet each other and the project team. Later in the year we will be setting up supported job experiences and volunteer opportunities.

Get On! is for young people who are Deaf, Deafened, Hard of Hearing or (CODA) Children of Deaf Adults, and not in education, employment or training.
