Manchester Deaf Social Event raises money for MDC

The Manchester Deaf Weekend Social Event, which was held from Friday 22 to Sunday 24 July, was a great success. The event provided opportunities for deaf and hard of hearing people to meet and socialise together at various bars and event venues across Manchester. On the Saturday afternoon, Riley’s Bar hosted a social afternoon with lunch, a team quiz, and a beer pong competition.

Tickets were sold and all proceeds are being shared between MDC and Radcliffe Deaf Football Club. £450 was raised in total.

MDC would like to say a massive thank you to:

• Michelle and MDC's volunteers, for running the bar and organising the food
• Ellie, for organising the venue and selling the tickets
• Harvey, who helped with the game
• The deaf community for their support
• Everyone who attended
