MDC shortlisted for award for involving service users

We are excited that MDC has been shortlisted for a ‘Spirit of Manchester 2022’ award. The awards are organised by MACC – Manchester’s local voluntary and community sector support organisation. 

Awards are available for several different categories, and we have been nominated in the category for ‘involving service users’. The nomination recognises MDC’s active involvement of service users in the decision making and planning regarding our services. We are one of three organisations who have been shortlisted in this category; the other two are MASH (Manchester Action for Street Health) and Caritas – Cornerstone and Morning Star homeless services.

All of the shortlisted organisations/individuals will be invited to the awards evening on 6 October at Whitworth Hall.  At the event, a one minute film will be shown for each organisation shortlisted, explaining how they meet the criteria. The audience will then vote to decide the winner in each category.
