Our weekly Wellbeing Group meets every Thursday with a varied programme of activities.
Coffee Afternoon. Drop in any time from 1pm to 3.30pm. At Manchester Deaf Centre. Free tea/coffee and biscuits.
Health information workshop led by organisation Answer Cancer. 10am to 11am. At Manchester Deaf Centre. Free tea/coffee and biscuits. Topic: Male Cancer Awareness. All welcome: come along to gain awareness and understanding to support yourself, your male family members or friends.
Deaf First Responder Service. Faiza from the deaf organisation Walthew House in Stockport will be coming to tell us all about their fantastic Deaf First Responder Service. The service started earlier this year and provides deaf people with communication support in emergency situations. Learn all about how it works, what it provides and how you can access it. 10.30am to 11.30am. At Manchester Deaf Centre. Free tea/coffee and biscuits.
SignHealth are delivering a workshop. 10am to 2pm. At Manchester Deaf Centre.Topic: Relationships, coercive control awareness. Free tea/coffee and biscuits.
Our Wellbeing Group provides a safe place for deaf people to meet, support each other and improve self-confidence. We have a varied programme of workshops and presentations. We also try new and enjoyable activities to support positive wellbeing and health for example gentle exercise and sports, trips to museums and galleries, arts and crafts. Everybody’s deaf communication needs are met.
