Aimed at D/deaf individuals within Greater Manchester. Our Wellbeing, Advocacy, Information, Training and Employment Service (W.A.I.T.E.) aims to increase the D/deaf community’s health and well-being, which can be severely impacted by lack of communication and service cuts.
“Since the WAITE service has been set-up, I have been able to access information, support and activities in my first language. Communication has always been a barrier for me and because of this I have been lonely and isolated. I do not know what I would have done without this service. The staff at MDC are very friendly and helpful and I would like to say a big thank you to them all for supporting me.”

We offer remote support, and face-to-face appointments at Manchester Deaf Centre, Crawford House, Booth Street East, Manchester. We also offer drop-in services and group activites.
